UV or not UV – a cooperative response to a current IAQ predicament

UV or not UV – a cooperative response to a current IAQ predicament 1099 858 Stilvi

We are glad to announce the launch of our newly developed air purification solutions, corresponding to the EU-wide increasing demand for a higher Indoor Environmental Quality – IEQ (s. here & here), which belongs meanwhile to the target parameters of Smart Readiness Indicator – SRI policies and of the accordingly updated Energy Performance of Buildings Directive – EPBD (s. here) and pleased to extend the spectrum of invisible functions of lighting systems, beside their circadian supportive contribution to the performance of our immune system (s. here).

  • Our solutions do integrate disinfection tools, as powerful UV-C radiation and/or Visible Light of short-wavelengths, activating photocatalytically operating antimicrobial coatings, into accordingly retrofitted lighting systems, which apply upper room disinfection techniques to fulfill the requirements for a higher ceiling illuminance, to be attained by indirect lighting. The deployment of properly dimensioned UVGI devices, inside existing air ductwork, is selectively envisaged to supplement upper room disinfection techniques to prevent air filter clogging and consequently energy wasting pressure drop & HVAC coils maintenance and respectively energy wasting obstruction of heat transfer from water to air.
  • Our services are accompanied by tests about safety, proving the compliance of respective installations with EN 14255-1 and about disinfection performance, gauging the appropriate dose by means of a precise spectroradiometric measurement with the appertaining equipment, calibrated according to CIE 220:2016 and detecting its aerobiological disinfection performance according to VDI 6022. Disinfecting doses are being calculated according to CIE 155:2003, while 22 mJ/cm2 is adopted as the sufficient dose to achieve the highest air disinfection of 6th log kill rate for Covid-19 (s. here). This is the safe process, we suggest in order to abandon negligent solutions of uncontrolled use of hazardous radiation of questionable disinfection effectiveness.
  • In this new range of IEQ oriented, integrative lighting services, we are pleased to have leading partners on our side, in the fields of technology and quality assurance as VIOLUMAS and MIRTEC S.A. respectively.

Google Fonts logs records of the CSS and the font file requests, and access to this data is kept secure. Aggregate usage numbers track how popular font families are, and are published on our analytics page. We use data from Google’s web crawler to detect which websites use Google fonts. This data is published and accessible in the Google Fonts BigQuery database. To learn more about the information Google collects and how it is used and secured, see Google's Privacy Policy.
